1956 Ford Thunderbird drag car. 502 BBC Chevrolet, Dyers street blower with dual Holley carbs. Freak Show powerglide with 4500 stall converter and trans brake, narrowed 9 inch Ford with 4:88 gears, disc brakes on all four corners, line lock, Blue electric fuel pump, electronics, dual cross over, electric or air shifter. Blower motor that starts easily and runs as it should. The engine and trans. has never been raced, as I recently installed the motor and transmission and have never raced it. The car was certified a few years ago and should pass certification again. The car was raced at Amarillo Raceway where the owner lived. I bought the car rolling chassis several years ago and installed the motor and trans. with the idea of racing it, but I recently purchased a large property and spend all my time taking care of it, so I decided to let the car go to someone who can race and enjoy it. I don't have to sell it, so no low ball offers, as I have over $10,000 in the motor alone, not to mention the trans., rear end and rolling chassis. There is NO TITLE. Again NO TITLE. This is a pure race car. I will entertain offers for the rolling chassis or engine and transmission, but I am selling as a complete drag car. The car is sold AS IS with NO warranty either written or expressed. I can store the car in my shop for an extended period of time once it has been paid for. The body has the usual stress cracks in fiberglass bodies. Rectangular tube chassis, rack and pinion steering and strut front end. The winning bidder can pay in cash, cashier's check or wire. Cashier checks take 10-12 days to clear, so I will not release the car until the cashier's check clears my bank.
